FALL CHICKEN BBQ 2022 Review by Chuck Soeder, Kiwanis of Independence Group President

WOW… WOW… WOW!!!
That’s all I can say about the Chicken BBQ held on Sunday, September 11th.
The support from the community was simply fantastic! We prepared and served approximately 792 Chicken dinners!
I simply want to THANK all Kiwanis members and Community Volunteers that helped make this day possible!
Putting this type of Community event on to the degree it was done was truly a team effort!
Thank you to the City of Independence Community for believing in your Kiwanis Club, without your support and help with this event this would not have happened!
A very special THANK YOU goes out to the Independence Discount Drug Mart Store and specifically Jeff Myers of the Meat Department!
Jeff pulled off some late-inning heroic’s that literally saved our BBQ!
