    NEXT MEETING:   Val Troiano, will speak about the Adaptive Sports Programs.

     

    BOARD MEETING NOTES

     

    1.   The Board approved the expenditure of $2500 for the fabricating of 5 sets of stainless steel grills.  Fabricator will be determined shortly.

    2.  The Board tabled the membership into the Cuyahoga Valley Chamber of Commerce.

    3.  The approved for membership, Beverly Togliatti.

    4.  The Board approved the resignation of Edith Schilla as President-elect and accepted her to assume the position of Secretary.

    5.  As per our bylaws, the Board nominated Marilyn Senick to assume the position of President for the 2008-2009 year.  Chrzanowski would assume the position of Past-President for an additional year. 

     

    GUESTS:  A warm welcome was given for all of our guests:  Lt. Governor-Elect, Gregg Leach, Councilman Anthony Togliatti, Mary and Jeff Smigelski.

     

    SINGING:  Joe Hornack led us in singing “Happy Birthday.” to Spilker.  In celebration of John and Kathleen Kapusta’s anniversary we sang “Me and My Gal”.  Thanks Joe!

     

     

     

     

     

    PRESIDENT’S MESSAGE

     

    Edie Schilla requested to resign from the position of President for the 2008-2009 year.  It was her desire to fill the position as Secretary for our club. We all know Edie would have been an excellent President but we are very fortunate that she is willing to take on the demanding position as Secretary. The board unanimously voted that I maintain the position as President for the 2008-2009 year.  I would like to thank the board for their vote of confidence. The Club will vote at our next meeting.

     

    HAPPY DOLLARS:    A lot a happy people tonight; Scott for the wonderful graduation ceremony at the high school on Sunday; Chrzanowski for the awards ceremony on Friday; Togliatti and Kukawka threw a buck in for D. Nicastro, hoping that she heals from her broken ankle.  Hornack for the Memorial Day service that the city held; Wright for our guests and Senick for the scholarship committee for the great job they did this year.  Klepacz is happy being home from Minnesota.

     

    BBQ:  Scott reminded everyone that if you have not turned in your BBQ tickets, please do so ASAP.

    FOUR STAR SOCIETY:  This year, 14 students were inducted into the Society at the Middle School.  Congratulations to all!

     

    KEY CLUB:  Kapusta reported that the new President of for the 2008-09 school year will be Rebecca Kapusta.

     

    BUILDERS CLUB:   E. Schilla reported that Builder’s Club held their pizza party and announced their officers for the 2008-09 school year:  President, Alex Scotton, Vice-President, Crystal Hajek, Secretary, Jennifer Wisniewski.

     

    SCHOOL SUPPLY COLLECTION:  Chrzanowski reported that the collection boxes will be picked up on Friday.  If you are available to assist, please meet him at 8:30 am at the Primary School.

     

    GOLF OUTING:   Flyers are now available, please contact E. Schilla or Costanzo for your copy.

     

    HOME DAYS:  Believe it or not, Home Days is less than 90 days away.  If you have any suggestions, please contact D.  Nicastro before June 1, 2008.

MEMORIAL BREAKFAST:  The Memorial Breakfast will be held on Sunday, July 20, 2008.  It will be held at Ridge Manor Party Center, 4630 Ridge Road, Brooklyn, Ohio.  It will begin at 7 am and end at 8:15 am.  The cost is $11.00.  Please see Wright to make your reservation.  A strong showing by our club would be a tremendous tribute to Mel Kurtz and Dottie Ornas.

     

    COMMUNITY SERVICE:  The deadline for the flag contest is Friday.  Congratulations to D. Weseloh as the new President of the Cultural Arts Council. 

     

     

     

    SUNSHINE:  D. Nicastro broke her ankle and has had to have several surgeries.  Agan is feeling better and Wheaton is home resting after his hospital stay. 

     

    SPECIAL ANNOUNCEMENTS

    Saturday, June 7, 2008 – Celebrate Necia’s 70th birthday at her home from 4pm to ?  Please RSVP by 6/4.

    Saturday, June 14, 2008Scott has invited everyone to join his family in celebrating his daughter Kim’s graduation.  It will be held at his home after 2 pm.
