NEXT MEETING:  On Monday, May 19th the Honorable Mayor Gregory Kurtz will be our speaker.

PAST MEETING:  Harold Todt spoke on many wonderful destinations that you can take that are just a tank away.  Have you ever considered taking a trip to Mammoth Cave in Kentucky or how about to the horse farm in Lexington, Kentucky where Man of War once lived?   Maybe the beautiful J.E. Reeves Victorian Mansion or the Biltmore or even Frank Lloyd Wright’s Falling Water home is more your style.  Is shopping more your style?  Try Holmes County’s Amish flea market or Shearer’s Marketplace in Brewster, Ohio.  Harold provided many great brochures from many of the destinations that he spoke of.  Great job Harold!

    PRESIDENT’S MESSAGE

With the passing of Dottie, we are looking for someone who would be interested in taking over the secretarial duties of the Club.  If you are interested, please contact me.  A special thank you to Edie for taking notes and writing the newsletter in the interim.

GUESTS:  A warm welcome was given by all for Joe and Joy Milano.  Look for Joe at our BBQ on Sunday.  He will be giving us a helping hand.  Also look for Cory Percival she will be helping as well!

HAPPY DOLLARS: Chrzanowski, Schilla, Rusnaczyk, and Lance all had dollars in memory of Dottie Ornas.  Chrzanowki threw a buck in for Todt, who is selling a full-size van with gas approaching $4 per gallon.  Spilker’s grandson, Gregory, threw in a buck just because he was with his grandma.  Nicastro and Klepacz each tossed in a buck for our guests; while our guests threw in a buck because they were happy to be here.

K-KIDS:  Chrzanowski  reported that the club will be having their pizza party next Tuesday.  It would be nice to see a few Kiwanians there to show the kids our support.

BUILDERS CLUB:   The club is purchasing an eight foot bench for the Renee Roche Garden.

SINGING:  Mycoskie led us in singing “When You Are Smiling.”  Thanks Celeste!
