REMEMBER:  Next meeting is at the Middle School Auditorium at 6:30 pm in celebration of World Prayer Day.  NO MEETING ON MONDAY APRIL 28TH.  See you at the school.

PAST MEETING:  The Youth Minister from St. Michael’s Elementary School, Amanda Boczek spoke to us about the teens going to a Cheyenne Reservation to help those in need.  Ten out of the 40 members of the group will fly to Cheyenne to help the Indians however they can.  There are 4000 Indians on the reservation.  50% are below poverty level, seven out of 10 have no transportation, the majority does not have a high school education – this is in America.  Miss Boczek was enthusiastic and stated that the kids are doing everything themselves.  They have bake sales and dinners to make money. Sounds as if she has really motivated the teens

Kiwanis donated $100 to the project.

    HAPPY DOLLARS:  President
    Senick
announced that instead of collecting “Happy Dollars”, the dollars that are collected will go to the “Children’s Miracle Network” Thirty-five dollars was collected.

SINGING:  Hornack was back to lead us in singing “Happy Birthday” to Wright.   “Roll Out the Barrel” was the second selection.  Miss Boczek and her fiancé, David joined in singing “You are My Sunshine”.  Miss Boczek has a beautiful voice and we tried to encourage her to sing a solo, but to no avail.

THIS AND THAT:  We were told that Bontempo is under the weather with some kind of flu bug.  We wish you a quick recovery!  Lance is back and got a round of applause.  Klepacz needed to announce that his wife is jumping with joy at the birth of their second grandchild.  A little girl named Milla, which is an old Slovak name.  Congratulations!

CHICKEN BBQ:  Scott passed out Chicken BBQ.  Get out and sell them so he can have some idea as to the number of chickens to order.  Scott noted that the Art Council would be at the Chicken BBQ doing sidewalk chalk.

BUILDERS CLUB:  Edie Schilla reported that the Builder’s Club would be purchasing a bench and T-shirts with the money they earned.

NOMINATION COMMITTEE: Chrzanowki, chair of the Nominating Committee announced the Committee’s selection for officers for2008-2009.  They are:  Board Members Shallcross, Costanzo, and Chodzin, 1st Vice-President, Kreizenbeck.

DIVISION COUNCIL:  Chrzanowski. FISHING DERBY:  Kreizenbeck has everything ready for hopefully a great fishing day.  Iula and Kapusta will man the concession stand.

PRESIDENT’S REPORT:  President Senick reported that she has secured the board in the square to advertise for members.  She hopes she can do this quarterly.  A draft of the Club brochure was passed around to the members.

Division voted to have a second Cassidy theatre fundraiser.  It will be ½ of the house.  This will support the First Lady’s project.
