NEXT MEETING: Our speaker will be Larry Myers, Lt. Governor of the 24th
Division
PAST WEEK: We
had no program because of the Board Meeting.
BOARD MEETING NOTE:
Several ideas were brought before the Board; however, none were
acted on, since more information was needed.
1. Raising ticket prices for the Pancake
Breakfast and perhaps have a lesser price for presales.
2. Contributing to a Columbus Kiwanis Club
service project.
3. Donations for a disaster relief fund.
HAPPY DOLLARS: Weseloh
had a dollar as a “Thank You” for all the donations she received to “Get Out of
Jail” for Muscular Dystrophy Chrzanowski
tossed in a dollar for Scouloukas who
has not smoked in 8 days. Kukawka parted with a dollar for all the
participation he had at the University Settlement House Halloween
Celebration. We donated candy, 190
donuts all of which were gone, pumpkins and the pumpkin carver. Spilker
proudly announced with a dollar that her son Lee drove a train. Nicastro had a dollar for Kukawka who had the Halloween Event at
University Settlement well organized. Ornas tossed in a dollar for her husband’s
birthday (71) and one for Weseloh to
buy a file to break out of jail.
K-KIDS: Chrzanowski reported that there are approximately 39
kids in K-Kids. St. Michael’s is
celebrating their Blue Ribbon School status with various activities call the
school office for more information. The
K-Kids are also making ornaments for the troops overseas. They are planning on sending them a tree
also. The kids choir will be performing
for us sometime in January.
INTERCLUB – Benes stated that he is looking into having an
interclub with Berea possibly next Tuesday.
DIVISION COUNCIL: The November 15th 24th
Division Council Meeting will be held at Brecksville High School in the LDI
Room. Coffee and doughnuts will be
served at 6:15pm. The meeting will last
approximately one hour followed by the concert of the Cleveland Orchestra Youth
Orchestra. Email (jmcalli876@aol.com) Jim McAllister or call
him at 440.526.4531 if you would like a ticket. Or let Senick
know.
INTERNATIONAL
RELATIONS: Rejna
related that he was looking at a product called “Plumpy
Nut” which is a high protein food form for severely malnutrition children. It is presently be used in Africa.
SANTA DELIVERY: It’s
not too soon to plan on helping out with Santa Delivery. Spilker
has arranged for drop off dates at the old Rec Center
in Elmwood Park for Tuesday, Dec. 4th from 5:30 to 8:00 pm and for
Friday, Dec. 7th from 5:30 to 8:00 pm. Santa Delivery will be Sunday Dec. 16th. Spilker
needs three trucks to pull sleighs and three advance vehicles. Let her know if you can assist.
