this week treated as a guest.
PAST WEEK: There
was no program since we had the monthly Board Meeting
BOARD MEETING NOTES:
1. The ladies will meet to determine how to disburse
their funds from the Homeday Pie Booth
2. The Independence School Board has cancelled the
invoices charging the Club with custodial and user fees for the Middle School
and Shared use facility.
3. The Board voted unanimously to reinstate Jim Brearey as an active member after he paid his past
and present dues.
SUNSHINE: Agan is doing well. He, could, however, use some help with his
yard work and grass cutting. If you know
of any young person wanting to assist contact Donna Agan.
HAPPY DOLLAR: With Scouloukas out of town, Spilker
did the Happy Dollar honors. There were
so many dollars tossed around and so quickly this secretary couldn’t keep up
with them all. Here are some that stuck. Chrzanowski
had four dollars for the group that survived a near accident. They attended the interclub to Port
Clinton. Driving into a rainstorm on the
return trip they hydroplaned on the wet surface and ended up in a ditch along
the roadside. Costanzo
was glad to be back at his home club. Kapusta had a buck for his daughter, Rebecca,
who was one stroke away from winning the golf championship. Weseloh
is happy to get her husband back. Benes tossed in a buck for Costanzo.
Lance had a buck for our song leader, Hornack
who “we couldn’t sing without and is an all around great guy! Penitz
had a dollar for the Browns, one for the Indians and one (ha, ha,) for the
Stealers.
SINGING: Hornack led us in singing “Happy Birthday” to Young and “The Sidewalks of New
York”

WEEKLY
THOUGHT
For man, autumn is a time of harvest, of gathering
together. For nature, it is a time of
sowing, of scattering abroad.
