NEXT MEETING:  August 27, 2007, our meeting will come to order for the final time this summer at the Pickleworks on Fiztwater Rd.  Program will be announced.

PAST WEEK:  The Steak Roast and Wine Tasting event held at the Heidelberg Distribution Center on Pleasant Valley was special, indeed.  There was a great turn out!  The food was good and the wine expertise shown by Heidelberg’s manager, Todd was exceptional.  He directed our folks in selecting just the right wine for their tastes.  The steaks, grilled by chef, Chris and asst chef Pete melted in your mouth.  Judging from the laughter and conversation everyone seemed to be having a great time!

Left: Judy & John Scouloukas give Chris their steak order

Below: Jack Shallcross & Dave Faenrich receive some tips from our wine expert

GUESTS:  Special guest this evening included, Mayor Fred Ramos and his wife, Cheri and Recreation Director, Ed Kostyak and his wife Lenore.  It’s always a pleasure to have City officials attend our events.    Sandy Senick accompanied her sister Marilyn.  We often see Sandy at our events and she is a big help at our fundraisers.  Of course, we can’t over look all the wives that were present.  Donna Agan, Shirley Manza, Claudia Duhan, Dolores Hornack, Gail Jordan, Kathy Kapusta, Mary Farrara, Karen Kreizenbeck, Rita Nicastro, Noreen Rejna, Judy Scouloukas, Betty Shadrach, Karen Shallcross, Elaine Todt, Mary Ann Wright, Janet Young and Mary Kay Zak.  Quite a turnout!

SUNSHINE:  One of the highlights of the evening was seeing Agan on his feet and feasting on the excellent food!  It only goes to prove the old saying” You can’t keep a good Kiwanian down for very long!

NTERCLUB:  Seven members – Bontempo, Chodzin, Costanzo, Lance, Kukawka, Rusnaczyk and Benes attended the Interclub at Nordonia, Augut 15th.

HOME DAYS: The Ladies Home Days Pie Booth account totals $1,400 they are looking for ideas as to what to do with these funds.  Contact Senick with ideas you may have.

SINGING:  Hornak summarized all the birthdays and anniversaries that have been missed over the summer.  We sang “Happy Birthday” to Duhan, Bob Jordon, Zak and Wells.  And “Let Me Call you Sweetheart” for Klepacz and Mary Farrar’s and Rich and Noreen Rejna’s anniversaries.
