PAST WEEK:  Many of our members attended the Aeros game and enjoyed an evening of hot dogs, good baseball and socialization.  This has become a Kiwanis tradition each summer and is well received by all!

HOMEDAYS:    Sell those raffle tickets!  See Molnar if you need more books.  Senick still could use some help at the ladies pie booth.  Sign up sheet will be going around to work.  Set up is Thursday, August 2nd .  Friday workers are needed from about 4:00 pm to 11:00 pm and Saturday workers are needed from about 12:00 noon to 11:00 pm.  Contact Molnar for specific times.

MEMORIAL BREAKFAST:  Eight members attended the Memorial Breakfast which was a very nice affair recognizing members of Kiwanis who had pasted away in the previous year.  We have two – Gene Sauter and Doc Bennett.  Wright, Ornas, Senick, Spilker, Benes, Kukawka, Bontempo and Costanzo represented our club.  This will fulfill our Inter-club obligation for July.

GOLF OUTING:  The golf outing is Friday, Edie Schilla has everything pretty much in control However, if you can spare an hour or two in the morning to set up and/or an hour or two in the evening stop by and Edie will surely put you to work.

    WEEKLY THOUGHT

    Sometimes I lose my way

And find it hard to forgive

    Unresolved issues surface

    And leave me sensitive

    Falling victim to intolerance

    Temporarily losing grace

I humble myself to a reality check

For we all have something to face.

Time to take a step back

Distance myself from what I don’t want to be

So easy to get swept away

By the lure of fortune and flattery.

I will not allow anyone to harden my heart

Or dim the light of my soul

What I am is what I choose to be

I will not give injustice control.

    I will carry on

Because tomorrow is not the same as today

I forgive myself for having faults

And trust I will learn along the way.
