PAST WEEK:  We had not only one but four speakers this past week.  Wright and Schilla organized a very interesting program.  Pastors from the various community churches – Fr. Pete Coletti-St. Michael’s, Rev. Donna Barret-Rockside Church, Rev Ward HinesIndependence Methodist Church and Rev. Robert Hendrix-Concordia Lutheran Church all gave us an idea as to how Kiwanis could help their organization.  Rev. Ford from the Presbyterian Church was unable to attend.  All the pastors were open and had some thoughts as to our participation.  Hopefully we can do similar programs in the future.

GUESTS:  Once again, our ladies showed for dinner.  Maryann Wright, Betty Shadrach, Rita Nicastro, Judy Scouloukas, Edna Wells, Elaine Kukawka, Janet Young, and Delores Hornack.  Ed Wheaton was in attendance as well as a guest of one of our speakers – Vaso Suhodolsky, Youth Director for the Rockside Church.

HAPPY DOLLARS:  Many members opened their pockets for Zak and the Chicken Barbeque success.  Kapusta had a buck for his wife being present and a thank you for HOBY which his daughter enthusiastically attended.  Hornack was pleased with the Cavs.  Todt had a dollar for having to eat chicken for breakfast and lunch.  Zak’s (gold) dollars went to all the help he had for the BBQ.  Pentiz was delighted with those members who stayed to help clean up.  He was extremely grateful.  Debbie Nicastro was happy with the kid-help at the BBQ.  Shadrach was delighted to be married to Betty for 51 years.  He dropped in $10.  Senick was looking ahead to next year when she will be president.  She thanked everyone who will volunteer for the BBQ in 2008.

K KIDS:  Senick reported that approximately 100 were in attendance for the K-Kids Charter Party.  We received thanks for transporting their book donation to University Settlement.
