NEXT MEETING: Next week, March 5, 2007 there will be no program.  We will hold our regularly scheduled Board Meeting

PAST WEEK:  John Milner, representative for the Key Leader Program gave a very informative talk on the newly established Key Leader Program.  He stated that this program is geared, not to the high achiever, but to the “middle of the pack”, those students 8th thru 10th grade who aren’t sure where they are as a leader.  It is designed to recognize and build leadership skills.  The main theme being that leadership comes from helping others succeed.  Leadership is established through services to others.  There is no limit as to the number of students that a school can send to the weekend event.  Held at the Recreation Unlimited Camp in Ashley, Ohio each spring this is a life changing experience, one, which the student will carry with him for years.

SUNSHINE:  Kukawka is scheduled to have back surgery on March 13th.  Keep him in your prayers.  Klepacz was absent due to an injured back.  We wish him a speedy recovery.

GUESTS:  Guests this evening were the 2007 HOBY participants – Rebecca Kapusta and Bryan Scotton.

SINGING:  Both of our song leaders were absent, consequently, Wright willing “jumped” in and led us in singing “California Here I Come”. It was a very abbreviated version.   One line and we were done!

HAPPY DOLLARS:  Kapusta tossed in a buck for our two young guests.  Wright had a dollar for Bryan, he was Wright’s GIFT old man.  Kreizenbeck was happy to see his driveway.  Nicastro had a dollar for the guests and Kukawka.  Todt was pleased with the article that Nicastro got into the Neighborhood news about the Pancake Breakfast.

KEY CLUB:  Six Key Club members went to University Settlement House for the reading program.  Thanks to Freilino for transporting them.  The Key Club is planning on helping out at a Food Bank.  They are also planning on helping out at the Pancake Breakfast.

NOMINATING COMMITTEE:  Scott will be heading up the Nominating Committee.  We will be electing officers and need nominations for Vice President and four board members.  If interested or if you wish to nominate someone contact Scott by April 2nd.  Voting for these officers will be held at our regular meeting on May 7th

PANCAKE BREAKFAST; Sunday, March 4 is approaching rapidly.  Brearey and Kapusta are ready for the annual Pancake Breakfast.  If you haven’t signed up to help, be sure you contact either one of them.  Everyone’s help is needed.  Sell those tickets!!

SPIRITUAL AIMS:  Wright reported that there were five members that attended the Lenten Breakfast – Wright, Benes, Bontempo, Spilker and Chodzin.  This also served as our Inter-Club for this month.  Wright is working on a special program in spring, which will include the area churches.  More to come on that.

K-KIDS:  Senick reported that St. Michael’s K-Kids is rearin” to get started.  They are holding a Kick-Off Assembly on Feb. 28th.for grades 1st –4th,  at the St. Michael School Main Campus.  Everyone is invited.
