    NEXT MEETING: December 11th at the Civic Center.  Our annual club party will be held.  Come for the entire evening with Santa and gifts or just come for the dinner.  Be SURE to contact Weseloh to be sure a spot is open. 

     

    PAST WEEK:  There was no program, however the monthly Board Meeting was held.

     

    BOARD MEETING NOTES:

     

    1.       The proposed 2006-2007 budget was

    distributed.  The Board discussed the budget,

    however, no action was taken.

    2.       The Board approved Justin Weseloh for membership.

    3.       The Board approved purchasing spare parts (2 heating elements and 4 knobs for our grills.)

    4.       President Chrzanowski, noted that St. Michaels School is interested in starting a Builders and K-kids Club.  Anyone interested in helping pursue this project let him know.

     

    WELCOME!

    Let’s give our newest member, Lisa Stasek a warm welcome!  Lisa was inducted Monday by past president, Spilker as our newest member, although she is very familiar since she has made many appearances throughout the year at our various functions and fundraisers.  Lisa lives with her husband, Scott, at 6303 Elmarge Dr.  They have two children, Rachel 12 and Joshua 6.  She is CFO of Eagle Window Cleaning Co, a family owned business.  Lisa can be reached at 440.829.9064.  She will be a great asset to our organization.

     

    GUESTS:    Scott Stasek, husband of Lisa Stasek, was a guest of Weseloh as was Justin Weseloh

     

    UNIVERSITY SETTLEMENT:  Kukawka reported that University Settlement was holding their Christmas Party.  Sheets will be playing Santa Claus as he did in previous years.  He also noted that 15 rolls of Polaroid film were donated by Discount Drug to take photos of the children with Santa Claus.

     

    KEY CLUB:  Kapusta reported that the Key Club had 15 enthusiastic members meet to discuss plans.  The students are excited about the University Settlement literacy program.  Key Club members will be caroling this season and wrapping gifts for our military personnel overseas.

     

     

    ANNUAL LADIES BRECKSVILLE INTER-CLUB.  Benes is planning the annual ladies inter-club with Brecksville on Thursday, Dec. 7th.  This is where the female members of the Independence Club attend in mass the Brecksville meeting.  The meeting begins at 6:15 pm at The Methodist Church on the Square in Brecksville. .  Let Benes know if you can make it.  Let’s keep up our good showing, in the past, we’ve had six or seven in attendance.

     

    PRESIDENT’S REPORT:  President Chrzanowski reported that we are in need of a Public Relations Chair.  Anyone interested in taking on the committee or working on PR please contact him.  Tickets are now available for the Division 24 fundraiser a night at the Cassidy Theatre on January 15, 2007

     

    THANK YOU:  Spilker thanked Penitz for his “helping hand” in picking up the sleigh in Burton, Ohio for Santa Delivery. 

     

    ART GUILD:  Shallcross announced that the Art Guild now has the final miniature in their Independence Building series.  It is City Hall and costs $12.  See him if you are interested.
