Foote's Home "Improvement"
A FANTASTIC effort by Key Club, Kiwanis and members of Northfield Presbyterian Church to tear out all the damaged drywall, lath, cabinets and walls throughout the house. 25-30 folks came prepared and made the home ready for reconstruction.

All the walls needed to come out due to the flood in June. Kids who had never swung a crow bar tore in and moved mountains of debris to the dumpster til filled. A front end loader worked hard to keep up with the endless parade of wheelbarrels, finally creating a dump site in the parking lot.

Adults worked with kids in groups, everyone was extraordinarily impressed with kids, the progress and how it all meshed together. At the end the house was clean and ready for new construction. Thank you to everyone. Our Kiwanis club is very proud of the efforts and character of Independence High School students and members of Key Club.
